The Tudor Era is one of the most fascinating periods in history for me. I am always looking for fresh sources for inspiration and there seem to be endless accounts of the impact Anne Boleyn had on British history. When I feature her, I file the post under this tag so you can find your way to her easily if you enjoy reading about her antics.
It is sometimes hard to believe that she lived in the 16th century because the films and television series with her playing a role, which seem to roll out with great frequency, have made her seem so present. This second wife of Henry VIII and Queen of England from 1533 to 1536 had such a brief but brutal impact on her times.
The high treason of which she was convicted in April 1536 led to her arrest on May 2nd of that year. Found guilty two weeks later, she was beheaded on May 19 that same year.
